Questions about challenge coins

What is a challenge coin?

A challenge coin is a heavy metal coin carrying a unit, regiment or organisation crest, given to mark service, an operation, a visit or an achievement. Companies use the same idea for anniversaries, awards and milestones.

What metal and finish do your coins use?

Most of our coins are brass, finished in antique brass or bright polished brass. The design is chemically etched deep into both sides, so it stands out in relief. Details such as a red accent can be colour-filled by hand.

Can you make a coin from our crest or insignia?

Yes. Send the crest, motto and any text you want around the rim. We redraw the artwork and send a proof of both sides before production.

What is the minimum order for coins?

Usually 25 coins. Our coins are chemically etched, so there is no die or mould charge — even a small run is worth making. Larger orders bring the price per coin down.

Do you supply coins to the armed forces?

Yes. We have made the Operation Sindoor coin for HQ 15 Corps (Chinar Corps) and brass coins for Indian Army units. We are happy to work with unit procurement and provide GST invoices.

How long does a coin order take?

Etching, colour-filling and finishing take a little longer than engraved tags. The time depends on how many coins you need, so we confirm the exact number of days with your quote. Tell us your ceremony or event date and we will plan around it.

Can coins come in a box or capsule?

Yes. Coins can be supplied in clear capsules, velvet pouches or presentation boxes. Mention it when you ask for a quote.
